APCA CAR Care Program

ACFC works with the Alabama Partners for Clean Air (APCA) to run their Car Care Emissions Testing program. In order to achieve a reduction in emissions in the greater Birmingham area, ACFC finds and schedules qualified volunteers to run vehicle testing events at Express Oil Change locations in the area. If a qualified vehicle is found to have emissions issues, the Car Care Program pays 80% of the qualified repairs, up to a maximum of $900. Examples of qualified repairs under this program include, but are not limited to, oxygen sensors, catalytic converters, diagnostics, or others deemed necessary by testing officials. These events are posted on the APCA website, but ACFC will also post on their social media accounts in order to reach more individuals.
