A $25.5 Million CNG, Propane and Electric Opportunity in Alabama

The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) Energy Division is holding regional Public Information and Listening Sessions across the State to provide current information related to the Volkswagen Settlement in Alabama and gather input for the development of an Environmental Mitigation Plan for the state.

Some of the topics to be covered at the sessions include:

>Overview of the Volkswagen settlement and what it means for Alabama

>How settlement funds may be spent

>What mitigation actions are eligible for funding

>The state’s process for developing a Beneficiary Mitigation Plan

>Plan considerations

>Evaluating the impacts of mitigation actions

>How you can provide important input for plan development

All stakeholders are encouraged to attend. Participants will also be given the opportunity to submit written comments and recommendations.
