Binningham unveils fleet of Coca-Cola CNG buses

March 24, 2017 The Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA), Alabama, unveiled six new buses powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), thanks to a new partnership with Coca-Cola. for its revamped Magic City Connector. The route is the Dart blue line that runs along 20th Street from the Uptown District to Southside.

Odyssey Day 2017 - Please Join Us!

The Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition is joining Lawson State Community College to sponsor the National Alternative Fuel Training Consortium’s National Odyssey Day.

National Odyssey Day is a nationwide biennial event to educate the public about alternative fuels and advanced technology vehicles as well as the important role these vehicles play in providing solutions to our nation’s energy security and environmental issues.

2017 Top Ten Most Fuel Efficient Light Vehicles

According to the Fueleconomy.gov website, the list of the top ten most fuel efficient light vehicles includes nine electric vehicles (EV) and one plug-in hybrid-electric vehicle (PHEV).  Electric vehicle fuel economy is measured in miles per gallon equivalent, or MPGe, where 33.7 kilowatt-hours of electricity is equal to one gallon of gasoline.
